What role does religion play in your life?

Hello Armin Rütten!

First of all, a warm greeting regarding the reunion.

As a Jehovah’s Witness, religion plays the main role in my life!

Features of Jehovah’s Witnesses

Part A) General Christian Principles

  • They have love for each other

John 13/34,35; Love has a unifying effect, as Paul writes: Col.3/12-14

The commandment of charity was already known to the Israelites (Genesis 19/18); the “new commandment” is the commandment of sacrificial love (… as I have loved you…)

  • the primary foundation of their faith is the Bible

2.Tim.3/16,17; John 17/17 Jesus Christ invoked only the Word of God and did not invoke any other religious traditions.

  • they are not part of the world

John 15/17-19; they therefore did not interfere in any political matters

  • they exclude repentant sinners from their community

  • they pay relative obedience to the state

Mark.12/17; Roman se.13/1 röm.13/5-7; Acts 5/29

  • they refuse military service

2.Moses 20/13; Mat.26/52; Roman se.13/10 1.John.3/10

  • They provide material assistance in emergency situations and in the event of disasters

Jak.2/15-17; Mat.6/3,4 However, they do so in such a way that they obey the commandment of Christ, that it is not to know what the right hand is doing; for this reason, their deeds in this direction can be found almost only in their literature.

  • the sermon was a trademark of the first Christians

Mat-28/18-20; These words were addressed by the risen Jesus to all his followers (then more than 500 present: 1 Cor.15/6)

Kol.1/23 ; Paul wrote these words about 30 years after the death of Jesus. The “whole creation under the sky” was then the realm of the Roman Empire.

  • They do not do business with religion; their commitment is based on voluntary donations and their support is based on voluntary donations, not on forced collection

Apg.2/44.45 At that time, Jews from all over the world were gathered in Jerusalem for the feast of Pentecost; they had not planned to stay longer. Now they got to know Christianity and of course wanted to learn more; therefore they were supported by the residents. 2.Cor.9/6,7; Mat.10/8b

Part B) (additional) predicted characteristics of the Christians of the Last Age

They should prove to be those that, after the “weed season” (Mat.13/24-30, 37-43), would be separated from the “weed” as the remnant of the wheat class would again form a closed group.Mat.13/30; Mat.13/36-39

their divine guidance would be done through Bible research

unlike the first Christians, no supernatural messages are conveyed to the Christians of the Last Modern Age.Their knowledge should be gained exclusively through Bible research. Dan.12/4; Dan,12/9,10

prerequisite for the recovery of true knowledge (orreligious truth) a cleansing is required; in what sense? According to the parable of weeds and wheat (Matthew 13/24-30; 37-43), the truth would be watered down in the “weed season”[1)

After centuries of developing a conglomerate of thousands of religious directions, however, true worship (and thus original Christianity) would reappear.

The waste

Mixing with philosophy (Col.2/8)[2)

Mixing with pagan teachings and customs (1 Cor.10/20,21; 2.Cor.6/14-17)

Intertwining with politics (John 18/36,37; John 17/14; Jak.4/4)

moral decline (homosexuality; extramarital intercourse (1.Cor.6/9,10; Roman s. 1/26,27)

oppression, exploitation, extermination of ethnic groups; all in the name of the “Christian” religion (2.Petr.2/2)

religion into a business (e.g. indulgence trade: 1.Petr.5/2)

Formation of a ruling hierarchy (Mat.23/8-11; 1.Petr.5/3)

demonic miracles (signs) (Mat.7/21; 2.Thess.2/9)

Marriage Ban (Celibacy) (1.Tim.4/1-3)

Image worship (Genesis 20/4)

unbiblical teachings (triuneness, immortality of the soul)

the research process would last for a longer period of time Spr.4/18;

1.Cor.13/9-12 Here Paul compares the Christian assembly with a male person who becomes a man from child to man, who progresses pieceby to complete knowledge. In the Last Days, the realization should be completed in such a way that the prophecy of the Last Days is fully understood, for it says:

Offb.1/1 (Egg)……….Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God has given him to show his servants what must happen soon; and he showed it to john through his angel, whom he sent.

It is researchary that researchers (inventors) make predictions (expectations) based on their respective (still piecemeal) findings, which turn out to be a false prognosis as knowledge progresses; but what is crucial for obtaining the right research result? In the present case: that the result harmonizes with the whole Bible (including all prophecy): the complete picture of truth.

The correct composition of a puzzle can be recognized when the right image comes out, as in the biblical prophetic puzzle.

When the apostles still lacked important information, they also had an erroneous expectation with regard to the messiah’s rule (Acts 1/6).This is what the Bible scholars would do.

the end-time prophets would be granted the recognition of future things

Amos 3/7; Jeson.42/9 They would recognize the end of the times of nations (Luk.21/24) and the beginning of the Last Days, and gradually understood the Book of Revelation. They realized 31/2 decades before 1914 that at that time the first world war predicted by Jesus Christ would come.

like the first Christians, they are a peaceful (family) brotherhood

Col.3/12-14 Love has a unifying effect (Col.3/14).Today, former mortal enemies sit peacefully together in kingdom halls to worship the same and true God; no ethnic, social linguistic, political or social differences have a destructive effect on this unity; therefore, they are fulfilled:

wars of nations do not disturb unity

Jes.2/1-4 (JB)………. Word that Isaiah the son of Amoz looked upon Judah and Jerusalem: In the aftermath of the days it shall come to pass that the mountain of the house of Yahweh shall be firmly established at the top of the mountains, and be extopered over the hills. All the peoples come to him. There many nations make pilgrimages and say, “Up, let us go up to Mount Yahweh , to the house of the God Jacob! He teachs us his ways, and we will walk in his ways. For the law and the word of Jehovah of Jerusalem shall come out of Zion.” Then he will be arbitrator between the peoples and many nations. They will forge their swords into ploughshares and their spears into wine-grower knives. Never will people sit against the people; you will no longer practice war.

What kind of faith do you think this prophecy applies to?On Je.hova’s witnesses or on a church whose clergy encouraged the political powers to wage war. I have seen for myself how the swastika flags were in the churches during the Hitler era; Participants in these wars testify that the weapons with which the “enemy” was slaughtered have been blessed!

two groups of rescued are united in one flock

Luk.12/32; John 10/16 Both groups are described in Chapter 7 of Revelation

Offb.7/4; Offb.7/9; Rev.7/14 the first group (spiritual Israel) is bought from the earth according to Rev.14/3 and is chosen to reign with Christ for 1000 years (Revelation 20/4).The second group survives the judgment and forms the foundation of the new world.

while other communities are crumbling, this people has grown strongly

Jes.60/21.22 Is there a group today to which all these characteristics apply?Yes! The story of J.eh.ova’s witnesses during the First World War has been encoded in the Book of Revelation for 2,000 years. [3)

In the meantime, man has invented weapons with which life on Earth could be wiped out X times so that the following will soon come true:

Offb.11/18B (Egg)……… to spoil all who perdistour the earth.

many fairy tales about Jeh.ovas Ze.ugen are told. Why not convince yourself what is true and what is not. (1.Thess.5/21)

Jehovah’s Witnesses are willing and free to help people learn the Bible (more precisely).

Kind regards

[1) Paul refers to religious apostasy in 2.Thess.2/1-12 and John reports at the end of the 1st century on the great progress of apostasy (1 John 2/18.19)

[2) the word “his” used by the translator in front of the word philosophy is not in the Bible.Paul was referring to Greek philosophy, as can be seen from the phrase “human tradition”.

[3) can be delivered at any time
